Bendigo er en autentisk liten australsk by, under to timer fra millionbyen Melbourne. Campusen ligger rett ved Greater Bendigo National Park, så her er det helt normalt å se kenguru på campus. Fordelen med å velge et mindre studiested er også at bo- og levekostnadene er lavere, slik at du heller kan bruke mer penger på opplevelser.

Reading Australian Landscapes
Semester 1. This course introduces you to the processes that shape Australian landscapes. Through practical field work (including camping in the Australian bush) and assignments, you will learn to use a range of techniques that will enable you to ‘read’ landscapes from an ecological and outdoor environmental educator’s perspective.
Ways of knowing nature
Semester 1. In this course, you’re introduced to ideas and cultural beliefs that shape the way Australians perceive and interact with nature. The learning experiences, including practical field trips, provides students with opportunities to glimpse some of Australia’s lesser-known wildlife.
Global Environments
Semester 1. This subject introduces you to key ideas within the environmental humanities and their importance in helping us understand and address the crises of climate change and biodiversity loss
Foundations of outdoor learning
Semester 1. You are introduced to the knowledge and skills required for safe participation in self-reliant outdoor journeys in south-eastern Australian environments. Learning experiences, including a four-day hike in the Australian Alps, emphasise the development of safe practice, course sound judgement, care for others and the environment, preparation, and the ability for students to be self-aware and responsible for their own learning.
Ecologies of Coastal Environments
Semester 2. In this course, you will focus on environmental studies by understanding, recording and critically reflecting on coastal environments. Learning experiences include practical field trips to the world-famous Great Ocean Road and Wilsons Promontory
Framing cultural identities
Semester 2. The course embeds intercultural understanding and the development and deepening of students’ understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages, societies, cultures, world views, histories and contemporary experiences.
River Environments
Semester 2. In this course, you will develop knowledge, understanding and experience of river environments. Through weekly lectures and fieldwork including rafting and kayaking, you will develop technical expertise of paddling and interpretative knowledge of river environments as preparation for peer leadership.
Climate, Sustainability and Society
Semester 2. You’ll be introduced to the basic principles of the scientific, economic and sociological approaches that underpin the current debate. Through a problem-based approach, students develop a recognition and understanding of the causes and impact of climate change and the responses of science, society and business to this
